Size of Pond Selection in Prawn Culture

The size of ponds is based on the spreads and what type of ponds and according to this we have to make a pond.

It is enough that if the nursery pond is small.  In natural water spreads the saved juveniles and artificial method of breeding juveniles we should grow them into the big pond we have some stock to leave some days for the ponds is called nursery.  This pond should not be in more depth half meter depth is enough. This length and breadth method 12x14 meter is enough.

 Each growing ponds should not be less than 0.5m to 1.0hectares depth.  Commonly, it stated that the growth of prawns we need a depth pond.  Compared to fish, prawns are small.  But during summer season particularly in our country the heat is more so, the ponds get hot and cause of this prawns leads to death to avoid this we need depth in ponds.  In depth ponds if the heat gets more in upper base level at that time in pond base the heat will be less.  Because of this, prawns won’t get damage and stated to growth.  Though, increasing the water level depth it’s get increased and the oxygen in ponds will also get increased.  There is a chance of getting needed oxygen to the prawns.
